The famous Duck Inn Steak Challenge
The Duck Inn at Oakenshaw is on a hunt, looking for volunteers to undertake…the famous Steak Challenge!
It involves a premium top quality Steak from our master butcher cooked to your liking, by our expert chefs. You have one hour to eat the full steak meal plus the accompaniments of chips, onion rings etc.
Enormous 80oz, 90oz, 100oz, 120oz and 150oz Steaks are on offer.
Two local paratroopers were the first to take the challenge. On the evening, other people enjoying their meals at The Duck inn felt positively shocked, as two huge platters, each with 80oz of Steak, emerged from the kitchen and a gathering of both adults and children spurred the two guys on. Whilst the pair polished off their huge cuts of steak, they were both beaten by the clock for the last few chips and onion rings!
We welcome anyone to take the challenge, with just two days notice we can prepare and have your gigantic Steak cooked to your liking.
The cost is from £60 for anyone wishing to take part (with £10 going to charity) and for those who complete the challenge, they win their entire meal for absolutely free and see their name in lights on our ‘Hall of Fame Leaderboard’!
